Ancestral Trial (Part-1)
In the land of Devi and Devtas, Uttarakhand, it's important to understand that everything that defines Uttarakhand is connected to spirituality and our ancestors. We often refer to our ancestors as Pitra Dev. It is believed that our ancestors protect us from various problems related to our bloodline. Even small temples are dedicated to them in the villages and rituals are held on special occasions. The mystic valley of Uttarakhand holds many secrets that are passed on from generation to generation and are preserved and protected by the people of the same bloodline. The question of how ancestors hold the position of Pitra Dev finds its answer in the beliefs and folklore of Uttarakhand. People who have served as spiritual healers and worked for the betterment of humanity, or who were war heroes in the local community, are given the status of Pitra Dev after their death. Small temples carved out of stones are built to honor them. During "Jagar" ceremonies, a special Jagar known as "Bhoot Jagar" is performed, during which ancestors possess a person's body and bless the family members. These ancestors have transcended moksha and have attained the realm of Dev Yoni.
The actions of our ancestors can have a lasting impact on future generations. As history reveals the truths and mistakes of the past, it becomes evident that the consequences of their actions can affect up to 12 generations. In Uttarakhand, known as the land of Devi and Devtas, there have been instances where rituals performed by ancestors, driven by materialistic desires, have brought curses upon their descendants due to involvement with spirits that were not part of the bloodline. It's intriguing to consider how ancient curses are believed to be passed down through generations and impact the descendants of a bloodline. There's a belief that even ancestors may not attain spiritual liberation if unholy deeds were committed in the past. Seeking wealth through forbidden means can lead to serious consequences, and reversing such actions is often more difficult than carrying them out in the first place. In ancient times, when people faced hardships and resorted to rituals to change their circumstances, they would awaken spirits capable of granting their every desire in exchange for offerings, often in the form of sacrifices and blood. These spirits were bound by the spoken word and promises made to them, and in return, they would fulfill the desires of those who summoned them. However, these rituals performed by our ancestors may have inadvertently resulted in curses affecting future generations due to a lack of understanding and connection to our cultural heritage.
